The Cost Of A Chromebook
In 2022, there is actually quite a range of Chrome OS devices in terms of cost. The Samsung Chromebook 4 comes in at $229 and has a 11.6 inch screen, 4GB of RAM and an Intel Celeron N3000N CPU. If you are looking for something with a bit more power and performance, Google’s Pixelbook Go is $649 and has an Intel® Core™ m3, 8GB of RAM along with 64 GB of storage. At the top of the line comes the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook at $999. It has 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage and comes in some pretty awesome colors.
Gaming?
Unless you prefer to game on a phone typically, the options here are going to be quite limited. The Chrome Web Store has some pretty basic games and as of recently, the Android PlayStore is also available, allowing you to play games available for most phones. You won’t, however, be playing any titles exclusive to Microsoft or anything at the moment.
Can I Use My Chromebook Offline?
Another drawback to using a device with Chrome OS is the fact you need an internet connection for many apps. If you plan on using the device without a connection, we highly recommend looking into what limitations you may run into.
